SEO Tips – Blog Linking: There are many pitfalls when it comes to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and I have known a number of people get quite obsessed in trying to get their websites ranking higher in Google, Yahoo and Bing, to name a few, but it really seems to be quality and not quantity that is important.
Personally, I am pretty new to SEO tips, tricks and techniques but I have been doing a little research recently and found a neat little trick that can really help promote new traffic to your blog or website.
To get traffic from search engines you need links to your website, lots of links. This is because the search engines give better rank to pages with inbound links than to pages with little or no links. Blog linking is an easy way to get links from blog comments to your blog and then hopefully to your website.
Just type the following search query into Google: WordPress comments “your keywords”
But replace “your keywords” with the specific keywords you are targeting with your website.
When you search like this you’ll find WordPress blogs related to your niche audience, where you can then post relevant comments on their blogs and include a link back to your site.
SEO TIP: Make sure to use different variations of your keywords when blog linking!
A good strategy when commenting on blogs is to write something that adds value to the discussion. That way some people reading your comment will become interested in what you do and hopefully click through to your website to check you out.
blog linking in the same niche as your website is a lot more valuable for SEO than links from random unrelated blogs. The search engines consider the theme of the link when deciding how to rank your site.
It may not be rocket science but it does help in getting targeted traffic to your blog or website that have a genuine interest in what you do or say and that has to be helpful for your SEO.
It’s certainly not the definitive way to enhance your SEO but every little helps in today’s scramble in reaching the top of today’s major search engines.
Hope these blog linking Tips help!

That’s a good tip.. you can also expand on it to find other blogging type sites too with something like:
+comments +”SEO keywords here”
Obviously milage varies with results – and so some sites/results would not allow links back etc etc.
